The Formal Record

The Register is the authoritative index of durable Decipher & Atlas public records.

The publication presents the argument. The Register preserves the identity and history of the record.

The Archive preserves the work. The Register preserves its identity, relationships, provenance, and history.

One Record, One Primary Identity

A durable public record has one primary identity even when it appears in multiple places, series, formats, or related records.

Canonical Record Classes

  • Analysis
  • Alpha foundational proposition
  • Observatory Record
  • Public Information Release
  • Report
  • Index
  • Verification Report
  • Press Release
  • Glossary Record
  • Durable Framework or infrastructure record

Record Codes

Record families may include MM, VT, DI, EF, A, Ω/Omega, SO, PIR, RPT, IDX, GL, FW, and PR. Codes preserve identity; they do not dictate public alphabetical or thematic browsing order.

What a Public Register Entry Can Show

  • record ID
  • title
  • publication class
  • analytical lens
  • format
  • Watch Condition
  • Watch state and direction where applicable
  • verification status where public
  • version and revision history
  • related records
  • current status
  • canonical location

Public Information Releases

A Public Information Release is a concise public-interest record for verified information that does not require a full Analysis. A possible record lineage is PIR → Updated PIR → Observatory Record → Analysis → Report; the stages are not mandatory.

Publication Class, Lens, Format, and Watch

These are distinct fields. A work can be an Analysis, use the Dynamic Interconnections lens, appear in a Sunday Pulse format, and relate to Infrastructure Fragility without those categories becoming interchangeable.

Provenance Without Erasure

A durable record may be corrected, revised, superseded, or withdrawn. The Register preserves material history rather than silently replacing it.

Public Register Boundary

The public Register preserves the public record. It does not publish protected internal procedures, private deliberations, unpublished drafts, credentials, confidential client material, or proprietary implementation details.

The Standard

The Archive preserves what D&A published.

The Register preserves what the record is, where it belongs, what it relates to, and how it changed.
